Our new drama serial rolls out online

At last! The first episode of our new drama serial has gone live.

We’ll be publishing all ten episodes weekly in the run up to Christmas. Cherchez La Femme is written by Jonathan Morgan and set in 1950s France, it features Justine Lefèvre and her companion Hortense.
They were teenage resistance fighters during the Nazi occupation, but their contribution goes unrecognised and in the mid 1950s, they are forced to make ends meet by unconventional means – which colours their reputation and attracts the attention of the dogged Inspector Bernard.

In Episode 1, he calls on them suspecting that they know more about a daring jewel theft than they let on. Which of course they do……….

Clancy McMullan plays Justine and Janice Barnes Newton is Hortense, the regular cast includes Andrew Isherwood, Chris Phillips, Jonathan Morgan and Mike Hickman with guest appearances from a host of Yorkshire based actors including Doreen Gurrey, Daniel Wilmot, Rory Mulvihill, Paul French, Victoria Delaney, Huw Jones, David Newell and Ken Barker. We’d like to thank everyone who has lent their time and talent to the series.

The series is produced by Soundstagenorth’s Guy Morgan and you can listen to the first episode on our Soundcloud page here:
